At the original Warren Way location, patients can continue to receive exceptional care in Mohs Micrographic Surgery, Medical Dermatology, and Skin Cancer treatments. In contrast, our Lakeside Crossing location serves as the destination for personalized, beauty-enhancing services.

Meet the Staff:
Dr. Whitney Hovenic – Dr. Hovenic is a Double Board-Certified Dermatologist and is one of only four Fellowship-Trained Mohs surgeons in Northern Nevada. Dr. Hovenic specializes in Mohs surgery and skin cancer but also practices Medical Dermatology with a special interest in acne, eczema, psoriasis, Cosmetic Dermatology, and the use of lasers for medical and cosmetic purposes.
Dr. Whitney Hovenic is frequently sought after by national publications for her expert insight on skincare and Dermatologic treatments. Her guidance has been featured in leading outlets such as Real Simple, Allure, Better Homes & Gardens, and CNN, where she is often called upon to break down trends, recommend evidence-based routines, and help readers make informed decisions about their skin health. Her consistent media presence reflects her expertise, credibility, and commitment to patient education.
Calli Hess, RN — Calli Hess earned her RN and BSN degrees from Truckee Meadows and the University of Nevada, Reno. As a 7th-generation Nevadan, she understands local skin health concerns and is dedicated to helping others maintain healthy skin.
Kat Prim, RN – A graduate of Carrington College, Kat came to Northern Nevada in 1992 from Brewster, New York. She began her career in the medical field over 20 years ago and has worked in orthopedics, plastic surgery, and a local hospital’s general surgical unit, where she found her passion for nursing and assisting in Mohs surgery. Today, she continues her aesthetic practice as a nurse injector.
Kiley Ramatici, RN, ALA – Kiley Ramatici demonstrates a comprehensive commitment to patient care through her diverse responsibilities in Medical and Cosmetic Dermatology. She is an integral member of the Mohs surgery team, ensuring patients receive exemplary care during complex procedures. As a nurse injector and laser specialist, Kiley applies advanced expertise to deliver Cosmetic Dermatology treatments that enhance patient confidence and overall well-being.
Nichole Hodges, ALA – Nichole is dedicated to educating her patients on skincare products and routines tailored to their needs. As an experienced laser professional, she stays current in Cosmetic Dermatology and continually develops new skills to provide practical, customized treatment plans.
Trina Melvin, LA – Pursuing a career as a Licensed Aesthetician has enabled Trina to unite her passion for skincare with her commitment to enhancing clients’ confidence and well-being. She is experienced in working with a wide range of skin types, from mature to adolescent, and excels at designing individualized treatment plans tailored to each client’s unique needs.
Sara Nomanson McDowell, ALA – Sara is highly skilled in Clear & Brilliant laser procedures, SkinPen® microneedling, Hydrafacial®, DermaSweep microdermabrasion, chemical peels, and a range of other laser therapies. She brings extensive experience to treatments targeting acne, anti-aging concerns, teen facials, manual lymphatic drainage, and rosacea.
