Dr. Katie Manno is a Board-Certified Dermatologist committed to providing compassionate, comprehensive care in Medical, Surgical, and Cosmetic Dermatology. Originally from Northwest Chicago, Dr. Manno earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry with a minor in Spanish Language and Literature from the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor. She returned to her hometown to attend Rush Medical College, where she was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. 

Following medical school, Dr. Manno completed a transitional year internship at Presence Resurrection Medical Center, then went on to complete her Dermatology residency at the renowned John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County in Chicago. She is certified by the American Board of Dermatology and has pursued advanced training in Integrative Dermatology, completing a nine-month certification program—the only one of its kind available to Dermatologists in the United States. 

Dr. Manno is a member of several leading professional organizations, including the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, Women’s Dermatologic Society, and American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery. Her practice blends evidence-based medical treatments with holistic approaches, offering a personalized experience for patients of all ages. 

Now based in the Reno-Tahoe area, Dr. Manno is passionate about building lasting relationships with her patients and delivering high-quality care in a vibrant, outdoor-loving community. In her free time, she enjoys skiing, camping, running, fly fishing, international travel, and spending time with her loved ones and her dog, Bodhi. 

Dr. Brad Hammon, is proud to be back in his home state of Nevada, delivering high-quality Dermatologic care to the community he knows and loves. A native of the “Friendliest Town in Nevada,” Dr. Hammon earned his undergraduate degree in biology, with minors in chemistry and psychology, from the University of Nevada, Reno.   

He then continued his medical education at Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Colorado. His training journey took him across the country, completing his internship in North Carolina and his Dermatology residency at OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. 

Dr. Hammon is passionate about the full spectrum of Dermatology, including Medical, Surgical, and Cosmetic Dermatology procedures. He also brings specialized experience in Pediatric Dermatology, having trained alongside top pediatric Dermatologists during a six-month rotation at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. His well-rounded background allows him to care for patients of all ages with skill, empathy, and attention to detail. 

Dr. Hammon’s welcoming demeanor, commitment to his patients, and deep roots in the state make him a trusted and valued Dermatology Provider. 

Outside the clinic, Dr. Hammon enjoys an active lifestyle with friends and family. A dedicated CrossFit enthusiast for over 12 years, he thrives on the physical and mental challenges it offers. On his days off, you’ll often find him outdoors golfing, skiing, or camping, soaking up the natural beauty of the Nevada landscape.  

Dr. Shackelton is a Double Board-Certified Dermatologist and Dermatopathologist, and a Fellow of both the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society of Dermatopathology. A proud Reno native, he returned to Northern Nevada in 2013 to join Skin Cancer & Dermatology Institute, bringing with him world-class training and a deep commitment to the local community. 

Dr. Shackelton graduated summa cum laude from Yale University with a Bachelor of Science degree in molecular biophysics and biochemistry. He earned his medical degree from Harvard Medical School and completed both his internship and Dermatology residency through Harvard and the University of Pittsburgh, where he served as chief resident. He completed a prestigious Dermatopathology Fellowship under Dr. Dirk Elston at the Ackerman Academy of Dermatopathology in New York City, where he also served as a clinical instructor at SUNY Downstate Medical Center. 

Dr. Shackelton is passionate about all aspects of Dermatology, from routine skin care to complex skin disease management. His subspecialty in Dermatopathology enables him to expertly diagnose skin conditions at the microscopic level, providing invaluable insight for accurate and effective treatment. In addition to his clinical practice, he serves as an expert panelist for Grand Rounds, offering second opinions on challenging Dermatologic cases, and is a dedicated community faculty member at the University of Nevada School of Medicine, where he teaches and mentors future physicians. 

Outside of medicine, Dr. Shackelton enjoys spending time with his wife, Amanda, and their four children, embracing Northern Nevada’s many outdoor activities. He feels grateful to live, work, and raise a family in the community he has always called home.
