RENO, Nev. – [December 22, 2025] – Skin Cancer & Dermatology Institute is pleased to announce the addition of Anya Bandt, MD, FAAD, FACMS, to its distinguished team of dermatology providers. Beginning January 2026, Dr. Bandt will practice at our Sparks, Carson City, Elko, and Fallon locations.
Dr. Bandt brings exceptional expertise and a patient-centered approach to dermatologic care. A graduate of Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, she earned her B.S. in Biochemistry before completing her medical degree at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She went on to complete an internal medicine internship with a surgical focus at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, followed by a dermatology residency at Cook County Hospital, where she served as Chief Resident.
Furthering her specialization, Dr. Bandt completed a fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery at University of Wisconsin at Madison, gaining advanced training in surgical and non-surgical skin cancer treatment and reconstruction. She is double board-certified in dermatology and Mohs micrographic surgery.
In addition to her expertise in medical dermatology and skin cancer, Dr. Bandt has extensive experience in cosmetic dermatology, including laser treatments, dermal fillers, and injectables. She is dedicated to ongoing professional growth and regularly participates in medical societies, continuing education programs, and volunteer instruction, including work with Health Volunteers Overseas and at UCSF.
